Meet the drennans

Heather Drennan, Owner and Timothy Drennan, Vice President have overseen Fancyful since 2018 and have loved every minute of it. They both received their BA degrees in musical theatre from Ouachita Baptist University, where they met and began their story together. They hoped to do something truly impactful with those degrees post-graduation, and that’s where the magic began.

In 2014, Heather was freelancing as a princess performer in Little Rock, which garnered the attention of a couple by the names of Sam and Jessica Selby, who had just recently created a small company called Fancyful that September. An immediate friendship was forged between the Drennans and the Selbys, and Heather and Jessica began growing Fancyful together with ongoing ideas about what fantastic things they could do with the company next. As time passed, Heather took over management, and over the next four years, the two couples watched the company experience incredible growth as word began to spread about the magic that was making its way throughout Central Arkansas. When the Selbys sadly had to bid Arkansas farewell in 2018, Fancyful was left in the hands of the Drennans, who promised to continue on their mission of spreading hope and joy throughout the community. Now, from that small little company that began with only 3 princess characters, Fancyful proudly offers a variety of over 40 different characters covering princesses, superheroes, mythical creatures and more.

Heather acts as one of Cinderella’s mice, overseeing all Fancyful operations from styling wigs and repairing costumes to event coordinating, spearheading projects, and improving our client and performer experience. Since taking over ownership in 2018, Heather has used her skills such as sewing, painting, sculpting and crafting to improve Fancyful’s costume and prop design, and proudly makes one-of-a-kind costume compositions for Fancyful like our swimming mermaid tops and more to give Fancyful its own unique style. Heather also thoroughly enjoys face painting and you may see her out in the community spreading smiling faces as she creates unicorns, tigers and other fantastical creatures. Heather’s objective each week to is make each party experience as immersive as it possibly can be. No detail goes unnoticed!

Timothy brings his immense knowledge of all things heroic to the table, serving as Fancyful’s lore master. He also provides help wherever needed, utilizing his talents with photography and videography, as well as supporting the company with copywriting policy and procedures.

For the Drennans, running Fancyful has been one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of their marriage, and now with their son Desmond as part of the family, they can’t wait to see what lies ahead for their family and their community as Fancyful continues to grow. They believe the heart, soul, and goal of Fancyful is to create unique and impactful memories for every child and family, taking a special brand of magic to families that may otherwise never get to experience it. They couldn’t ask for a better cast of performers who help them to carry out their mission, and they know your family will have an unforgettable experience with each and every one of them.
